Water Resistivity & Formation Factor
One of the most known ways to calculate water saturation is through Archie's equation. This includes certain measurements and values such as formation resistivity- water saturated, porosity, tortuosity factor and cementation exponent. The equation expressed is the following:
![Water Resistivity Rw - Archie]( https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFIeoFB55Cm1ObqeXtAKVRDl8Rssj6kXlGLZeml-hUHnXD_riZs4IH7572BscOdmocqYK4snNX5bV98wazVArbvA_-wp4WiJbzgFfcz12gEmWan6WoUlz9FPRR_PWEeM_YQZ5YFT-BMo9l/s1600/resistividaddeaguaarchie.gif )
- Where:
- Ro= formation resistivity- water saturated
- ɸ = porosity
- a= tortuosity factor
- m= cementation exponent
